In the spring of 2010, a couple of friends and I had the idea to make shirts that said "SHIRT" on them, inspired by the music video for Dude 'n Nem's "Watch my Feet". I decided to pursue the idea, finding a low-cost wholesale t-shirt manufacturer, crowdfunding the cost from my friends and fellow students, and finding an artist that could screenprint the design. After an intense screenprinting session, I delivered the shirts to my eager "customers" and we celebrated with a photoshoot on the university campus. You can see photos of the whole process below:
I plan to do a second edition run of shirts, and eventually expand into a full "meta" clothing and product line.
